NC&StL Caboose #41, class NE-3. Built 1924 Mt. Vernon Car for FEC; Acquired by NC&StL and rebuilt West Nashville Shops 1935-36. Modified at some point to add extra seats for branchline passenger service. Steel frame, drovers style, wood sheathed, offset cupola. This caboose still exists today in the collection of, and in use by, the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum.
