| September 8 and we're nearing the deadline of having 100 painted prior to Polly Crockett Days, Sept. 15-16. Scattered showers prevented work on the engine for the last 10 days or so, but the rain was desperately needed, so we didn't complain. Maryann Knowles, David Ellenburg and Mark Ledbetter start masking and painting the red. By 5:30 pm, the bottom of the engine is complete. |
